ERM advises the shareholders of City  People in the sale of 51% of their shares to Rotshtein Real Estate, a public company listed on the Tel -Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE). The joint company will manage the urban renewal activity of both Rotshtein and “City – People”.

ERM is excited to be hosting a highly interactive and practical series of workshops for high-tech entrepreneurs in partnership with the IDC Alumni.

The three workshops, starting from 26 February, will cover each stage of the start-up life cycle, from approaching investors, to building a team to preparing a company for exit and dealing with crisis on the way.

Giving their insights and personal stories on the topics will be a host of industry leaders including: Dan Amiga (Fireglass); Yaniv Barak (iGroup); Yaron Carni (Maverick Ventures); Aviel Siman-Tov (Fairfly); Yair Snir (Dell Technologies Capital); Boaz Omanuti (Reps AI) and Tal Rubinstein (Shupperz).

Natalie Noy, head of our high-tech and start-ups team, will also be addressing the topics from a legal perspective.

ERM is delighted to be partnering with the IDC Alumni to offer a series of workshops across real estate and high-tech and start-ups.

The first set of workshops, starting from 21 January – 04 February, will be focusing on real estate finance, with the sessions providing insights into various topics including preparing due diligence on  a project; an introduction to working with the banks, and financing from non-banks.

The second set, organised by our high-tech and start-ups team, will commence on 26 February and will discuss the practical issues that entrepreneurs need to be consider when initiating a start-up, from founder’s agreements to their approach to investors.

ERM has advised retail analytics start-up StoreSmarts on its acquisition by US based Retail IQ, a company that develops and markets retail technologies.

StoreSmarts provides retailers with real-time data and insights into consumer in-store behavior and their acquisition by Retail IQ will enable their products to be distributed worldwide.

ERM has acted for innogy Innovation Hub (innogy) on their $1 million investment in award winning Israeli start-up HopOn, which provides automated ticket services for public transport, using high-frequency sound wave technology.

Head of ERM’s German Desk Roni Abelski has just been re-elected as a Member of German-Israeli Chamber of Industry and Commerce’s Board of Directors.

Roni, who is also a partner in our corporate and M&A and high-tech and start-ups teams, was elected as a Member of the Board three years ago and was re-elected for another term of three years. He serves alongside many of the major German corporations which have a presence in Israel.
